Curious Cats Theatre Collective is a new Vancouver company dedicated to producing theatre that is at turns both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Audition Requirements
As the Chef and Owner of the best restaurant in the world, ever, Joe should be on top of his game. Instead, he leads a troubled and haunted life. A fateful string of events leads Joe, his staff and clientele, into a night filled with love, loss and an unforgettable dining experience. A touching Comedy/Drama that will inspire you to take a new look at the world around you.
We will be auditioning for the following roles:
JOE – Male / 40-65 / Any Ethnicity - Best Chef in the World. He almost made the perfect meal and it nearly broke him. Now he is losing his senses and reality is slipping.
LILY – Female / 40-70 / Any Ethnicity – Psychic who has been driven from house and home by the spirits of the dead. Finds herself drawn to Joe and her destiny.
MAX – Male / 30+ /German Heritage and Accent – Best Maitre d’ in the World. Max was raised by a monster and is truly intimidating, but underneath it all is a lonely soul in love with Rhea.
RHEA – Female / 30+ / any Ethnicity – Best Bartender in the World. Straightforward and assertive, she is trying desperately to make her life the model of Perfection.
RANDO – Male / 40 – 65 / any Ethnicity – The Richest man in the World. Ruthless and vindictive he enjoys the full pleasures his fortune allows him.
VIDA – Female / 40 – 65 / any Ethnicity - Successful author and former server at the restaurant, she is shy and non-assertive. She is learning to stand up for herself in this world.
THERESA – Female / 23 – 30 / Any Ethnicity – Best Server in the World. She is passionate and fearless and is caught in a love triangle.
ALDO – Male / 23 – 30 / any Ethnicity – One of the Best Sous Chefs in the World. Deeply in love with Theresa and steadfastly loyal to his best friend Bruno.
BRUNO – Male / 23 – 30 / any Ethnicity - One of the Best Sous Chefs in the World. Deeply in love with Theresa and steadfastly loyal to his best friend Aldo.
KAZ – Male / 35 – 60 / Any Ethnicity – Best Dishwasher in the World. Hard working jack of all trades who is also a Zen Master.
LONNY – Male / 25 – 30 / any Ethnicity – Ambitious and driven executive assistant to Rando. Finds his business career derailed and is looking for his true calling.

Notes
Rehearsals will begin mid-September on Sunday afternoons and evenings, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings at The Post at 750 in Vancouver.
This is a non-equity production with a Collective Profit Share model in place.
