After being seriously injured in an overseas roadside bomb, Sarah, a photojournalist, has returned home to her long time partner, James, a foreign correspondent, who is navigating his own war-induced emotional trauma. Together they attempt to adjust to a new domesticated life, alongside their editor and mentor Richard and his younger girlfriend, Mandy.
